Milos/Heraklion (dpa) – On the cruise ship “Mein Schiff 6″ of the shipping company Tui Cruises twelve crew members tested positive for the corona virus.

“Early on Monday morning we received positive test results from twelve crew members of the “Mein Schiff 6″ from an external laboratory,” TUI Cruises announced in Hamburg.

The entire crew had not become conspicuous in the last 14 days in italy airport, none of the twelve crew members had symptoms. Those affected had been isolated on board and are now being tested again on board. Initial findings are negative.

Greek media reported that the ship left the Cretan port of Heraklion on Sunday evening. After the test results had become known, the captain interrupted the voyage and waited for further instructions off the small Greek island of Milos. The ship is now to sail to the port of Piraeus.
